My latest project does not use FastLED, at least yet…but still might be interesting to folks here. I put a 6x80 SK6812 WWA matrix inside of huge 60 year old timber beam to make a floor lamp. I found this pretty cool off-the-shelf music controller – an SP106E. It has a few patterns that I actually like because they have smooth fading and aren’t as blinky as most patterns on the pre-made Chinese controllers are. I liked it enough to roll with it initially, but do plan to upgrade to FastLED with ESP8266 at some point down the road…
nice design, i like it the form and size, would look great with some coloured lights and patterns.
