My latest sculpture came out pretty well. Check the link in the video for more details on the design and printing process.

Gorgeous!
Beautiful model. Thanks the the breakdown of your blender process, that’s very useful.
Nice model and you got the boobs right - it’s amazing how many models have these bolt-on globes;-)
From your blog, I take it you are exporting a posed model from something like Poser or Daz3D? If this is the case, you might want to be a bit careful if you try to sell these models because despite all the clean up and work you do this isn’t really original work (you didn’t sculpt this from scratch) and I know Daz3D can be pretty sniffy about it. If I am wrong, then please correct me and I apologise in advance. Of course, if you designed and sculpted the original fully rigged model then please tell me to shut up and I’d love a link to her:-)
Why not pose the model and then take plenty of screenshots and do a complete original sculpt in Blender using those as reference. YOu would find more artistic freedom is being able to edit your own models.
Hi Louise, thanks for the kind comments. You’re right, I make it very clear in my blog that I use character posing software to make my models. I don’t yet have the skills to sculpt from scratch. I’m getting there slowly, but I’m also impatient and I love being able to capture an idea in one session. I do put a lot of care into the shape and positioning of the anatomy, but I am very aware that these are not my models and I can reassure you that none of them is for sale.
I live in hope that one day my favourite (!) character posing software company will get their a***s in gear and bring out the long promised 3D printing licence. Until then, this is just for my own education and amusement.
There is skill in posing and arranging these models and you are skilled at that. I know you can buy packages of ‘poses’ - some of yours are lovely, maybe you could put together a package?
Probably because a 3D scan would involve you being in the same room as a model to scan an this is a photograph from the web:-) He’s also posing fully rigged models in something like Daz3D - a photograph can have enough information to do that.
don’t suppose there is any chance of you sharing the STL, is there?
@Chapman_Baetzel - sorry,no. Please read earlier comments.
@Aaron_Stemple - @Louise_Driggers is right. I actually get some nice feedback from the photographers and the models sometimes. On the ‘Bruno Birkhofer’ page I had a great response and asked him if he ever took photos from multiple angles because this would definitely help at times - didn’t get an answer though.
One word - Amazing.
