My LED prototypes in chronological order from left to right.
st prototype - White 5mm LEDs running on 2 AA batteries. Constant on. 0 control.
nd prototype - 2 5mm RGB analog LEDs running on PWM wired in parallel. Color fade effect. Some control.
rd prototype - 7 5mm RGB analog LEDs running on PWM wired in parallel. Color fade effect. Some control. All LEDs change simultaneously.
th prototype - first use of digital LEDs. 25 pixel LED strip running off an arduino nano. Multiple effects possible. Individual LEDs can be addressed. No control over pattern.
th prototype - WS2812B LEDs running off of an arduino gemma and lithium polymer battery. Multiple effects possible. Individual LEDs can be addressed. No control over patter.
th prototype - first use of custom PCB with embeded microphone. Running off a lithium polymer battery. LEDs react to sound around them.
th prototype and first fully functional unit - strip of WS2812B LEDs running off a newer custom PCB and lithium polymer battery running 5 different patterns. Pushbutton and modified program allow easy scrolling throught patterns and sound reactive pattern is also available.
th prototype unit will make use of 3D printed parts for cosmetic and durability purposes.
