My new dual fan setup vs. the original E3D fan.

My new dual fan setup vs. the original E3D fan. I havn’t gotten a chance to test it but I have a similar setup on my Phantom Ghost and it works wonderfully so I expect to see the same performance from this.

are those radial fans on the side? i just added one to by printer yesterday, the opening of th fan is about 4 cm away from the nozzle and just blows from one side, but it helps alot. Is there really an improvement to have two fans? I also experiment with a small airpump and a 4mm hose pointing directly beneath the nozzle.

These little fans move a surprising amount of air. I used to have just a single fan but what I found is on parts with overhangs, the side of the part with the fan blowing on it wouldn’t warp and the other side would. I know it’s possible to get a single fan setup to work very well but I just didn’t want to mess with it. Plus, with having two fans I can print fast if I need to without having a shortage of cooling. I have seen the air pump becoming more popular but I’m not completely sold on it yet.

Ah, that makes sense! My personal problem is that i dont have much space on my printhead to add fans, but maybe I’ll find some 25x25mm radial fans or something like that. My fan is blowing at about 45° angle down instead of blowing just from one side.

I wouldnt like to be filament jajajaja
