My new printable easy level dual hotend design.

My new printable easy level dual hotend design. V5 E3d bowden hotends, Thanks @Sanjay_Mortimer (love em). Since the heat sinks are actively cooled enough to keep the fan shroud from melting the j head clamp (abs)should be fine.
The process will be to bring all 4 screws to full tightness, level the bed using the furthest down hot end. Then to level the higher side down. This method will preserve the most z height. Compatible with the inegentis @Tim_Rastall correct me if you modded something that changes that. And possibly the tantillus again Tim correct me if I’m wrong.

Looks fine to me. Still a little unsure how you adjust nozzle height independently. Do you loosen the clamps? Nice work all the same. Prove it works and I’ll add it to the Ingentis source, if you’re cool with that. :slight_smile:

@Tim_Rastall look at the last four pics. The Springs are like leveling the the bed

Ok, but won’t that effect tge axial alignment of both nozzles? They need to be very close to perpendicular to the bed surface. I’d still prefer a design where adjusting the height on one nozzle has no effect on the other.

True but the way the heat sinks are lathe cut is pretty accurate so say my calipers. And fit perfectly in the yoke if they are both level to the bed they should be within tolerances for being perpendicular to the bed

Cool. I’ll look forward to seeing it in action. You decided on how the nozzles will be configured and what materials you’re going to use?

Both are .4 and I’m debating between one for soluble support. Or dual color. Will probably get another nozzle that is .6 and look into one for infill and the other for shell

The kraken rig looks awesome. How are you controlling steppers for extruder

Looks great!

@Eric_Moy Thanks

@D_Rob rumba supports 3 by default, will have to build a little expansion sheild for the 4th. Rich Horn and Sanjay are both working on Marlin mods.

Awesome. Keep me posted on the board mood progress. I am really interested in the kraken.

I only have half enough E3Ds for this setup, but it looks great!

Oh this should work with a metric Tantillus btw.

Awesome.
