Neat project, it’s always good to see someone keeping the art of mechanical horology alive.
Very pretty, but it seems like cheating to use an Arduino for the timing.

@Dale_Dunn yes i know, i am working towards one without any electronics what so ever but that needs a very precise contact breaker… also calculating a balance wheel timing is a sort of art which most clock makers wont reveal in spite of asking !!!

looks awesome, please fill the foot with sand/lead pellets to increase stability 
@Anton_Fosselius yes they do have steel rods in them but i will be adding bigger rods for added stability… you think sand with the same volume would be better?
