My replacement stepper driver arrived.
The 5V regulator looks nothing like the one in the unit that burned up.

I disagree. It looks like the same parts are probably there, but the top right chip was replaced with a smaller version of the chip and things are in a different layout. Just be careful of your tolerances.
That could of cause be.
However I guess it’s a completely different step-down regulator now since I haven’t see any smaller version of the original one in the data sheet.
I don’t think I’ll have 3D printing and vector cutting working for #30C3 .
