My trial of Sketchup pro is over on all my computers… So I need a replacement as Make is not up to it… Must be free or cheap. (less than €100)

Autodesk 360 fusion is free for individual use. Very powerful.

Why is the free Make a no go? Lack of boolean operations? There are free/cheap plugins for that.

@Gareth_Owen It is a full desktop application with heavy web integration.

Thanks for your inputs. Yes it is lack of booleans that I need. I’ll have to look into the free plugin.

@Niclas_Oberg give BoolTool a chance. 10 USD I believe. Basic boolean operations. Works great. Can post URL when I get home.

Try the Geomagic(Alibre) free version (wait for the trial to expire) and if it works for you, wait until they have the small, regular version on sale for 100eur instead of 1000again.

I’m LInux so many of these don’t work or don’t work well for me. Tinkercad is really good for many simple things. FreeCAD is ok, although the learning curve is steep.

Ubuntu is an alternative to me as well…
