That’s a really awesome design Louise, thanks for sharing. Its rare to see items which are well designed, functional and attractive as well. I’m definitely gonna have a go at printing it. I might even try it in Laywoo-D3, if it comes out that would be awesome 
I don’t see why things can’t be attractive and functional. Look at Victorian industrial and architectural design (and by that I mean proper Victorian design - not that steampunk rubbish:-)), aesthetics played as much a part as engineering and it provides a great challenge for any designer.
