My Velleman K8200 while I’m installing my MK3 Aluminum heated bed. The stock bed is only plastic and uses a four point mounting system which causes the center of the bed to ‘warp’ and rise a mm or so, which hurts calibration and reduces the usable printing size. Some of you will notice the zip tie on the E3D V6. It is only temporary; however, it is there because the stock extruder didnt print the holder for the extruder very well and I was too worried to sand it down any more. The zip tie prevents it from sitting at a weird angle. The total cost for just the E3D V6 3mm direct extruder and MK3 heated bed with the custom mounting kit was around $130 including shipping (I’m in the US). The stock bed is on the right and my MK3 is on the left. This is a wiring diagram that I found to be able to use the controller board to control the heated bed. And here is my current circuit prior to me heading over to Fry’s Electronics to grab some inputs and wires. What do you guys think of it so far?
Darn. Appears the pictures uploaded in low quality. I apologize for that.
Spettacolare
That board doesn’t have a terminal for the heatbed?
@Zane_Mitchell It does, Im just not paying $25 for the part, so Im making it myself for $10.
Gotcha
