Need help with printrboard z probe. I completely redid the cable in the area that seems to be stressed and the cable seems good. I fired it up and it still did the same thing where it goes up a bit like it wants to home but then it never goes down. Probe lights up when metal is under it, and a m119 shows triggered whether there is metal underneath or not. OK, so I did a reflash with the play firmware, and it still does the same thing. My jumper on the board is on the HV pin, so at this point I would expect the problem to be a firmware misconfiguration, but I have absolutely no idea how to test that. Sorry for all the posts yesterday. @Brook_Drumm @Griffin_Paquette any ideas? I just really want to get a print out of this because when something doesn’t work it stresses me out.
Thanks.
That sensor is the same one they use on the play and simple if I’m not mistaken. Fundamentally their firmwares are the same for their machines (excluding the new simple) but wth different probing points and bed sizes. They may have different jerk/accel as well but that’s beside the point. It shouldn’t be a firmware problem but I still have the Generic RevF5.hex saved if you want that one to try?
Personally sounds like a bad inductive sensor or wiring.
@Griffin_Paquette Might as well try it.
What email can I send it to?
@Griffin_Paquette I will send you a hangouts message with it.
@Griffin_Paquette Oh wait it won’t let me let me try a different method.
It won’t let you message me?
@Griffin_Paquette I had to go to the hangouts app
