Need to do a little touch up on the paint. Anyone have any good ideas for making LED eyes?
Best tip for LED eyes is to not try to see out of the same hole that the LED is in. Hide a real eye hole somewhere else.
Plexiglass that has been sanded with 600 grit sandpaper makes a great diffuser

What I’ve done is take a piece of acrylic and put a fine mesh over it and lightly sand blast it if you can. The places that were covered should stay clear and you’ll be able to see through it. The rest of the plastic should be frosted from the sand blasting and difuse the light decently well.
$1 LED mini flashlights for sourcing the LEDs from. Those get nice and bright. Use aluminum foil or aluminum flashing to direct the LED light away from your eyes. This from someone who has never done such a project, by the way.
