New Prometheus Hot End has arrived!

It was well packaged, and fit and finish is good. A 5/16" ignition wrench makes tightening the jam nuts easy if you have one handy.

Build in process… I wrapped the heater block in kapton tape and sleeved the resistor leads in teflon tubing to prevent accidental shorts.

I manged to sneeze at the worst possible time and blew the thermistor to Knowhere… after a futile search, new thermistors are on order as the larger epocs won’t fit without drilling the block.

Sneeze and lose a thermistor, certainly not the first time I’ve heard of someone doing that! :smiley:

I want to go to Knowhere… Do I just have to sneeze to get there :slight_smile:

Try blowing a bright piece of tape or paper or something from the same spot and see where it lands - may give you a better idea of where the thermistor went.

Stepped away for a couple of hours for a bike ride with my daughter and it mysteriously appeared on the floor!! The build resumes!
