Printing out a spiral vase now:

It’s looking absolutely gorgeous.
Repetier reports it as having 68,000 layers - My Z-Screws are slowly rotating in a very smooth constant turn.
With nice rounded vases like this you can print really fast because you don’t have corners that limit you via acceleration. Crank up the feedrate until the layers aren’t cooling quick enough!

I tried out the Joris style mode. It works great, maybe a little finicky about manifold STL’s and such but that’s not a big deal. I can’t compare to the original Joris mode as I have only used SF and Slic3r.

it’s totally awesome, working really well for me - very happy :))))

@Sanjay_Mortimer It looks like the faster the better with the spiral vase setting, I did a really slow one and you can still get a feint vertical line, but as soon as it’s printing at any speed perfect objects.

I did find one bug - don’t insert any custom Gcode after layer change! crashes Slic3r - not surprising really, maybe it’s trying to add 60,000 bits of Gcode to the output file!
