New Solution for Removable 3D Printing Support
Till today only four follow solution was possible:
- with the same material printed part
- materials soluble in hot and cold water (PVA)
- with materials soluble in caustic soda solution
- HIPS soluble into Limonene
We’ve invented a fifth. Print support with a particular filament (required second extruder) and then put printed part with support into a special liquid solution.
The 3D printing support filament will melt 230-250 ° C, hot bed at 80-90 ° C it not absorb moisture and is compatible with all types of polymers including HIPS. The liquid solution is composed of a special solvent who softens at room temperature the support printed allowing its removal by hand. This special liquid solution is not classified as an hazardous substance and does not require special disposal of waste such as limonene and caustic soda.
Both material (special filament and liquid) will be optimize, but first test given positive results.
