next question then would be use of the smoothieboard, that is without the extra stepper drivers. On board it supports 2a each withe built in stepper drivers. Tho would save me lots of money as I already have a smoothieboard.
Agreed with Dat. 80/20 does have wheels and you could probably use those without much issue.
On the smoothie, no worries on the 2A drivers. You can use stepper sticks with a higher amperes rating branched off the board.
but as long as I can find some 2A nema 23 motors than I’m good it sounds like. Is there any reason I’d need a higher ampere motors for a shapeoko? Would it be a factor of my projects (like aluminum vs woods)
