Next iteration of my Compacto extruder is going through first tests.
The goal is to have a Boden extruder / Hotend combination that can print elastic materials reliably and at speed.
I wanted to make this extruder easy to replicate so i tried to use as many proven and available parts as possible, in this case wade gears and hobbed bolt. The bearings are cheap bronze, i couldn’t use ball bearings due to size restrictions.
The 11 Teeth Wade gear took 30 minutes
