Not 3D printing related...

Not 3D printing related… but I figured a lot of users here would find interest in this :slight_smile: It will be a automatic PNP based on OpenPNP.org open source software. Any suggestions/tips/features you would like to see? No plans to sell this currently, but open to making a few kits to do a group buy and therefore lower the price.

Very good👍

+Peter van der Walt built a PNP a ways back and might have some tips for you. I do not recall if he ever used it or not.

@NathanielStenzel Link?

@Shai_Schechter sorry, but I do not have the energy to hunt for you. I think it was in either this community or Laserweb or DIY CNC. I tagged him in hopes that he might chime in. I think he sold off the machine, but he designed it and probably has some useful info. If he does not chime in, your options are to check his profile, check those communities and do a web search.
There were also other people who did PNP machines. Some went to fairs. The last I heard of the one set of opensource PNP software was over a year ago and it evidently was a bit rough still back then.

Id definitely be interested to learn more about this. Placing 0603 components by hand takes forever lol

@Cristian_Martinez you should try 0402 and QFN :wink: probably one of the most frustrating things I have done.

I have accepted the fact that my hands shake too much for 0402. I can barely do 0603 with my shaky hands lol. I need one of these PNP machines so i wont have to worry about putting the same piece in the wrong place 20 times lol

Here’s some progress :slight_smile:
