i have bought 5m ws2811 led strip from aliexpress,from that i have 40cmx2 strip.i was testing with the ws2811led controller which has preset effect built in. Kindly check the pic bellow, the problem is when i am connecting led strip as it was out of box(i mean 1>2>rest 5m roll) is working but when i am connecting 2>1>rest its not working.Curious to know what is the problem.
Sounds like a flaky connection to me. I would disconnect and perform that test at least 3 times for each configuration. Would also make sure I’m consistent with application of power, i.e. turn if off, configure the wiring, then turn it on. Repeat several times.
There might also be a setting for setting the number of pixels on the controller, look for something like IC or something…

@Mr_Happy yes I have done that problem is if I don’t connect (1) strip the rest not working.
@arpan_choudhury That doesn’t indicate whether or not you did any further testing. I’d also disconnect the rest of the roll as part of that testing. i.e Try 1>2 and then 2>1. Again, repeat it several times.
Just confirming -. You bought a 5m strip and cut a couple of 40cm strips from that and made your own connectors/cables for them. Strip 1 is identical to strip 2 and the wiring is consistent throughout.
@Andrew_Tuline yes that i was trying 1>2 is working fine but 2>1 not working.

wiring and direction is correct…i have checked twice. Wierd problem 
And you did that several times for each configuration? (Your response would be. . I tested each configuration several times). If so, I’d remove all the connections and start again. At worst case, I’d solder them directly just for test purposes.
Oh, and “I” should always be capitalized.

On strip 1 you may find a small surface mount resistor before the first LED. Look closely at the first LED and see if there is a small component on each side of the LED rather than just 1 on the rest of the LED’s.
