Not the best example to use,

Not the best example to use, but I’ve converted some video into tiny BMPs and have it playing on my 300 LED WS2811 strip (30x10).

The display I’ve made is hooked up to the Arduino Mega 2560 with a WiFi shield, which in this case is reading BMPs from a MicroSD card. I’m going to take this example an integrate it into the rest of the project which is communicating with my webserver to access time and weather info, as well as generating patterns. The last few things I want to do is to read Twitter and Facebook info, allow the sending of personal messages through a database and a few other bits.

Thanks for Mark and Daniel for their suggestions. My Uno was too small to deal with the all of the libraries I was using so I bumped it up to the Mega.

That looks great! I love the idea of a big bright do-anything display radiating ambient information as well as displaying eye-catching art.

Nicely done!
