Now it can roll. Up to an RS300 spool. (2,3kg spools).

Now it can roll. Up to an RS300 spool. (2,3kg spools). Was about time ive got that done…

But will it take a 3.5kg…? May have to get one in 2.85 to you to find out…!

@Tom_Martz what width is that spool?

11.75" DIA x 4" Thick 2.85mm taulman3D “t-scale”. t-scale was developed for very large architectural and utility prints and has the lowest shrinkage of any polymer we know of. Designed to print at 250C with 0.8 to 2mm nozzles. Because t-scale has zero modifiers so as to keep shrinkage extremely small, it is very transparent. t-scale is currently available on 3.5kg spools for large printers, so I thought it may be worth a look.

@Tom_Martz 4 inch is about 100mm. Fits ^^

that’s one way to do it. I found it easier to put smooth rods on bearings and let the spools roll on rods.

@Primoz_Brglez
Your correct. But didnt have any leftovers of 8mm rod. The bearings are really hard to move on the threaded rod. Need to update this sometime :wink:
