Obviously you dont have to get it at harbor freight, but this stuff works great to control wire mess, and because its split down the side, you can apply it after assembly.

Aside from wire control, I have used this same material to cover threaded rods on Prusa/Mendel machines making them look less vulnerable and protecting the threads too.
