And if you look at their final update, they’ve either been seriously wronged (I find it unlikely, but I suppose not completely impossible), or they’ve been putting serious work into trying to fool their backers – encasing a shapeways sandstone print in what looks like support material and then slicing the print in half to look like a partially-completed print. Given the designer of said (egg) print has never released the model file for his creation, and that the NexD1 print (of the unavailable STL!) looks absolutely identical even though the NexD1 doesn’t even use the same printing tech, I’m disconcerted that so many people were still prepared to put their $3000 on the line.
Anyone interested in the bridge I have for sale?
@Mark_Wheadon how much for the bridge? Do you want a MIG21 for it?
@Nils_Hitze i don’t know what the story with Japica was but if I read that word in my language means a person without character. Also similar word is Japca that means to take something without right.
@Pop_Gheorghe wow that’s actually quite fitting - just google Japica 3D Printer or search my timeline. Fun project … from the sideline
Japica… Synonym of unsubstantiated claims about a product by people without the faintest idea of capability.
@Nils_Hitze weren’t you involved in an argument with the founders about the precision of using a telescopic z axis mechanism?
@Paulo_Geraldes I think that was @Nick_Parker
There you go.
Japica on my part Nils.
Sorry.
I made the same comparison: https://plus.google.com/+Whosawhatsis/posts/XGGchr7AVyi?sfc=false
@Mark_Wheadon In the Make YouTube video the support material looks like agar growth medium, but it’s been a long time since biology class.
Kindly if some one can give phone or contacts for printer supply thanks
Wow… It was, after all, too good to be true. I feel bad for everyone out so much money.
Kickstarter funds aren’t collected until the end of a campaign, and only if the goal is reached. This one was stopped before the end (barely), so nobody lost their pledges.
