Oi! been a long time. got a funny issue with my ancient prusa i2, I have the printrbot alu direct drive extruder 1.75mm filament.
my problem seems to be, my interior fill looks fine and seems to extruder well. the perimeters not so much, it looks like a line of dots… any one have this issue or know what may be wrong? I can provide pics if needed.
I had this problem with old abs filament that gone brittle.
Increase extrusion to help out, but it may cause heat creap and clog.
Unless your solid layers are normal and you are using <.3mm nozzle, than it could be that the extruder is wobbling.
Couple potential issues here. What brand filament, hotend temp, and print speeds are you using for both infill and perimeters? Also a picture of the issue would help significantly.
