Ok, for the next project is it Ok to source parts from Hobby King? I mean is HK available to all? Or is there a better alternative? I’ll be buying stuff there and design around these parts. Let me know what you think.
I’ll release the project in a few weeks…
I source parts from them all the time. I believe they are available world wide. I have been buying some differentials from them and a few other parts. There are three models that seem to have common parts. The Basher Nitro Circus 4x4. The Turnigy Trooper and the Turnigy 4WD Short Course. Here is a link to the Basher parts: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__1263__405__Cars_Parts-Basher_Nitro_Circus_4x4_1_10_SCT_Parts.html
The front and rear differentials are really smooth and the side mount plates are cheap too. I am in the process of trying to replace the front and rear differentials on the Truggy with them.
Hobby king is the way to go for North America. Cheap and fast.
@Andre_Roy Unfortunately, the US East and West sites don’t have the selection that the Global site does, but mail from China is cheap (unless you are getting something big) and stuff usually arrives in two to three weeks, sometimes faster.
Hobbyking is a good idea! IIRC some people made mods to your other cars for hobbyking parts. You can sometimes find parts which are listed there and on aliexpress which is a good alternative for getting worldwide shipping!
Allright, Hobby King it is! Thanks for the replies everyone!
I have always though Hobby King might be a great partner to get injection molded version of the OpenRC Truggy. So people can buy the kit and print their repairs.
They have something close. I managed to pick one up from the East Coast warehouse for $100 and free shipping. It is called the Basher Nitro Circus. It is almost ready to run, just needs a radio and battery. It has a brushless motor and 60 amp esc.
How is this project going? I think that HK is easy for everybody, if possible try to use the European warehouse pieces. Thanks!
@Sergi_Uerdna The project is coming along nicely, i ordered electronics from HobbyKing!
