Ok guys,
So I have a brain storming item for you.

I am looking at using Arduinos in permanent installation.
Think of it as a light controller placed in a PLC.

Have you used anything in a way that was mounted on DIN rail and with permanent connections?

Thoughts:
This would need screw terminals for wiring.
DIN rail mount.
Possibly static protection inn the case.
Power will be supplied from main PLC at 220, I’ll step that down with a step transformer to -5VDC This will also power the lights as well as the board.

Capabilities:
I can make just about anything I need… and have fairly easy access to the rest…

I already have a setup in mind and am working on it - but I think this might be of interest for the community, so it would be great to hear other thoughts on how to do it.

@J.P_Saini how did you set it up?
Havde you seen any issues with reliability?
And what arduino board are you using?

These are good if you’re using nanos

Check on instructables arduino DIN rail

@J.P_Saini @Juergen_Bruegl first off - J.P. Can you give me a little bit of info on the nature of your installation?
Environment, type of machinery your operating?
Juergen - I’m kinda looking for solutions, I’m finding stuff in Europe, but I need this to be industrial for my application.
I’ll post more when I have something useful.
