Ok… I have built my new FolgerTech Kossel 2020 with the all aluminum frame. Quite a solid build. But I am running in to an issue now…

Keep in mind this is my first delta… so be kind. I have loaded the stock firmware for the Rev B Kossel. All of the endstops read correctly. If I home Z, all three towers go to the top and engage the endstops - like they should. If I issue a G28 command, it works like it is supposed to as well and homes all 3 axis.

Initially, I had the motors running backwards and ‘almost’ crashed into the bed a couple of times. I flipped the connectors around and now it homes correctly.

Now, if I use the Repetier software and try to jog the Z axis, it refuses to move initially, but if I click the + then - Z I can get it to start. If I issue a G1 X0 Y0 Z100, it drives down toward the bed and stops.

What am I missing here?

Have you told Repetier it’s a delta? (Ctrl-P)

@Rien_Stouten That was it. Now the extruder motor will not run. The motor is ok - hooked it up to another axis and manually ran it. I also made sure the hot end was above the min temp. I have already had one bad ramps board… going to swap out the atmega. - my last spare.

A mega board is not the best choice for a delta, so maybe it’s time for a 32-bit board?

It is just what it came with. Once I get it functional and printing, I will look into that.
