ok, I’ve decieded that I would like to use a nano unless someone else has a better idea. but I would like to preprogram events, effects ie: blue, red, twinkle, etc for my ws2811 strands, each nano would control 2 - 192led strips, but I would like to control thru dmx or artnet, so how would i assign each to a control?
@mike_tutaj Can you explain a bit more about what you’re wanting to do… Are you wanting to control individual pixels with DXM and also have pre-programed effects, or are you wanting to select which of your pre-programed effects to play using DMX?
Any reason why you want to use two controllers? There are multiple totally valid reasons, but one controller could easily handle 384 pixels if that’s a possibility for your setup.
Any particular reason on the choice of a nano?
I was looking at just preprogammed, down the road eaxh pixel would b cool, but not needed at this point,
Had a mega, I think the Ethernet shield was giving me issues, so I picked up a few nanos, I am open to another controller.
What stage are you at now? Do you have a setup that is receiving DMX (or Art-Net) correctly?
I can run fastled on the nanos, and have Ethernet working on the nanos
