Ok, so I deleted the previous, because it was long and drawn out. That and I have a new question. I’m updating my Printrboard rev f6 to the newest marlin, so I can try out some cool stuff like mesh bed leveling. If I am already using Atmel to load the hex, is it necessary to choose a specific board in the Arduino IDE? I hope this question is more to the point, thanks for your help

No problem. You want to download the hex and then use Atmel Flip. Can’t use the IDE alone
