Ok, so this is my new setup for the spools, Let’s home it works better.

If you store them there will the spools not dry out and cause printing issues? (correction: absorb moisture)

Dry is good for spools. I’m going to suggest you put some kind of low-friction tape or lubricating surface on that cardboard (I did mine with a metal rod, and sometimes the spools don’t quit want to rotate).

New print spooler works great, seems to have eliminated the filament twisting (so far).

@paul_wallich Yeah I used a cardboard tube I had laying around to make the first version of it. I have some white PVC pipe (used for central vacuum) I’ll probably replace it with it.

@SJ_du_Preez So far have not hit any problems that could be related to the filament moisture level. Now I’m in Canada and my office is in the basement of the house maybe that helps.

I keep my spools in their bags so they don’t absorb any moisture and when I opened them I put them back in sealed bags with silica bags. But this is mostly for PLA.
