Ok this is driving me batty! I’m working with a sketch that I found online that creates a barber pole lighting effect. It was made for 8 strips with 25 LEDs per strip. This is the part of the code for that effect:

The pole I’m making required 2 additional strips to make it look fuller and more connected between strips. So, I thought it would be easy to modify the code:

What I basically did is I changed the NUM_STRIPS to 10, I changed the Modulo to 10 and added 2 more lines within the case statement for the 2 additional strips. The original has 2 red leds, 2 white leds, 2 blue leds, 2 white leds (total of 8). Now I have 3 red leds, 2 white leds, 3 blue leds, 2 white leds (total of 10).

But the last 2 strips that I have added are not aligning correctly. In the picture they’re the two strips facing straight up, you can see the strips to the side and how they don’t align. Its supposed to look like one long swirling downward line.

Here’s a link to the entire original code. I know there’s other issues in it but one at a time

What hardware are you running this on?

I think I got it fixed, I had to change the Brightness value to 25 and I also found one of the strips was out of order. Novice issues…

Right now its on an Arduino Uno but I will be porting it over to a Adafruit Feather 32u4 Bluefruit LE
