Okay. I’m like, 4 successful prints in (just having printed 40% of a J-head mount, calling it a success, then measuring it to find it’s about 7.5% too big. Recalibrate, reflash, and with the new e-steps and Z bed calculation, the next print is…

Perfect!

Well, the first layer is, I’ll see what the rest looks like, but do you still get giddy when it successfully lays down that first layer?

The thing is, because of that carriage rocking you may have to change that for every print at this point. Focus on getting that thing stable

Just like the saying…When the carriage is a rockin, the calibration cannot lock-in.

LOL, well, the part didn’t stay adhered to the bed, but the first 4 or 5 layers were dimensionally correct to the part it was supposed to be printing. (measured 44.99 vs 45.76 on one axis and 28.5 vs 28.71 in the other)…I’ll get it dialed in one way or the other, you just have to realize it’s been 6 weeks of ‘get printin, break something’ wait a week, ‘get printin, find a part inadequate’ wait a week.
