On my new Prusa i3 ,

On my new Prusa i3 , I am unable manually reduce the bed fan speed. The Fan only goes at a 100% or off. If I move the slider down in Simplify 3D , it switches off.
I am not sure which setting it is in Marlin or Simplify3D to be able to adjust the % of the Bed fan speed. It works fine only Mendel90 printer

Thanks

If you mean the part cooling fan, you can use “M106 Sxxx” where xxx is the speed value between 0 and 255.

Most slicers interpret higher-level settings for fan speed by layer etc. into this GCode instruction. If you don’t specify a Sxxx value the fan runs at full speed.

Most hardware implements fan speed control by PWM so you are actually controlling the duty-cycle of the fan power. Some fans are OK with this and others not which is why 0 and 100% fan control is a popular method.

Guys I have the fan connected to D9 on the ramps 1.4 board. I have it connected the same as my Mendel90, however on mjy Mendel90 I am able to reduce the fan speed or make faster just by using the slider in Simplify3D. With my Prusa i3 , its no luck doing the same.
