One of latest 3D prints ( The 3D Printed Marble Machine #3 from Thingiverse ) took about 37 hours to print ( 34 for the maze, 2 for grub screw, 1 for the top spinner )

Just printing one of these myself - print times are just over half of what you have above - I’m looking at less than 20 hours for the track (that’s with 150um layers). Print quality is very good.

@Mark_Burton Rigid Bot has this problem that despite Cura estimated time 22 hours it actually takes 50% longer. I believe this is printer acceleration-deceleration values etc. But whatever it takes as long as it looks good

Hi, yes, I know what you mean. I use Cura and for one of my printers the estimated times are almost perfect and for the other, they are always low. I agree that it is related to the acceleration limits that the printer applies. You can specify accelerations to Cura and that should give you more accurate time estimates although it also means that Cura will put a load of extra g-code (m-codes) in the output to tell the printer what acceleration to use. I normally prefer quality over speed so my speeds are fairly conservative.

I can confirm that it is the jerk and acceleration settings that dictate the accuracy in the print times. Cura print time estimates are targeted for Ultimakers. I typically run my Rigidbot’s and RB3’s at lower jerk and acceleration settings so I have to add about 25% more time to the estimate but I get killer quality on the results.

Printed the same marble at 0.1mm resolution. 56 hours.

My print finished, it took 19.5 hours for the track (that’s with 150um layers). It was printed on a raft and that took about an hour. Cura said it would take 18 hours. Max print speed was 60 mm/s and travel was 300 mm/s. Looks very nice in rigid.ink transparent blue.
