Ordered the maker geeks surprise packages. Anyone else done this? Not bad deal as the price is good and they have free ship. Not only that but they are a few hours away from me. I shoulda found them before.
Makergeeks…that’s throwing alarm bells in my head. I recognize the name from somewhere important, but I can’t recall at the moment. Do I know someone that…works for them? I can’t remember.
Idk but I watched a video with their psu. He uses RadioShack solder and the station (same what I have). It’s a good solid digital unit.
@ThantiK On the upside, he makes his own filament which is pretty cool. MAKE just did a video on his setup. On the downside, he sells chinese E3D clones (for more than genuine E3Ds, no less). E3D got after him about it so now he calls them “all metal J-heads”, but the product description is a direct copy-paste from E3D, typos and all.

Yeah I’m with Tim on this. Got a reel of rubber filament for a job last year that I’m still using today from there, really cool demo of their in house extrusion setup, but only genuine E3Ds here. 15 so far and counting…
