Recived my order of a couple of BuildTak bed surface film sheets the other day. I am a bit sad that I didn’t get this sooner.
I am finally printing ABS with zero warp/lift so far without any glue, tape, brim, skirt, raft, smooch, mouse ears…
The prints stick like crazy and still aren’t very hard to remove from the hot bed. I’ve been happy using good glue sticks for a long while but nothing I’ve tried so far can be compared to this. Easy to apply and just go.
Taking care not to scratch the surface and wiping it between a few prints with isopropanol is all it takes. It’ll be interesting to see how long it hold its adhesion properties in the long run.
Bed at around 70C. Bottom surface of prints look similar to top surface. I am happy. Very happy.
