Someone make a floating Benchy.

It is floating alright. Which side was supposed to be up was missing from the specification, so the engineering team had to make a choice. Classic mistake in requirements engineering…
Lol. Ya the high center of gravity and lack of balast makes poor benchy float funny. Even my monster benchy floats on its side. Anyone know of a slicer that lets you do different Infill densities for the same part? Make butom 100% infill and top 20%? That would be pretty sick!
@Jules_Hoehn Slic3r can do that via a feature they call “modifier meshes”. have a look at http://slic3r.org/blog/modifier-meshes for a description
Ooooh thanks @Nils_Hesse ! I shall experiment with this feature this weekend. Might help me with a few other projects I’m working on too!
Thanks for sharing, people : )
Learnt something strikingly new today.
I’ve often wanted a feature just like those modifier meshes. I’d prefer it built into the slicer vs. importing a model to define a region, but that’s a great start. Might finally try slic3r.
