How’s the “industrial grade” linear guide? Really that much better? What’s the cost come out to for that gantry?
The linear guide are awesome, completely worth the price. No play at all and no racking with the H-bot. There is no comparison respect the linear bearings and rods that we had used on the prototype. Yes they are quite more expensive than bearings or bushing, but we are satisfied of the choice. From the first tests we made, we see that the layer positioning is a lot consistent and the vibration and noise are much lower, we will post updates with photos and videos
Sweet to hear - the noise was the next thing I was going to ask about. Seems to be my latest thing to attack.
Caged recirculating ball block and rail, pretty much an industrial standard commodity part these days
Glad to hear you found a solution to the h-bot racking. I like how compact you kept the dual extrusion. Far more elegant design than mine.
