The Hydra with its shroudless direct bolt on fans. The fans just hit the base of the rod clamps on the x/y ends  changing print area to 12 x 11 ⅝. I’m not happy. The STL will be fixed by shaving off 2mm and I’ll file these down so that I don’t have to reprint and disassemble.

What about rotating the fans 90’ to the other sides of the heatsink?

Will interfere with the heatbreak clamp bolts

2mm is all I’d have to change in the files to have a problem free solution.

I know the feeling. Its the pain of waiting for the reprint thats the worst.

Yeah im going to fix the files but keep these and shave the cosmos with a rasp.

Did you make the fan yourself

No the fans are standard profile 30x30

I’m new to all this and I hardly know anything about 3D printers. I was wondering if I can get someone to make me one of these printers and I’ll pay them, how much do you I think it would cost?

This one is experimental but i would build one for 2,000 USD plus shipping and packaging.

But for a beginner i recommend a printr bot simple or Mendel 90

Like I said I’m new to all this and I’m just curious at the moment and that’s is a steep price tag for me sorry. Maybe I could purchase one from a company that retails them cheaper… any idea on who makes some simple but cheap ones?

Yes @nophead sells mendel90, and @Brook_Drumm has the printer bots.
