Just 3D printed a little USB sound controller for my PC because I got fed up with fumbling around with apps whenever the phone rang trying to find the pause button. I could have got a “multimedia keyboard” but I’d rather have a proper keyboard and keep the multimedia bit separate.

Very clean.

Is it a coincidence that it looks like a guitar pickup?

Are you going to open source the design? I also dislike multimedia keyboards…

Good print!

@Josiah_Luscher normally I do but in this case it was based around some circuitry I pulled out of an old PC case and hacked about so it’s a bit specific to that circuit. Originally I was going to hack apart an old keyboard but I found someone scrapping a Windows XP machine which had some media buttons on the front. They originally plugged directly into the mobo but it didn’t take long to suss out it was just USB and work out the pins.

@Daniel_Bull ah I see; well done!

Details on the case? I too am interested in the media buttons.

@Doug_Augustyn It’s nothing special… just two 3D printed parts, the front which is printed face down and a back wish pushes inside the front from the rear to hold everything in place. It was 10 mins in 123D design.
