Need some help here.
hello friends, im just entering in this fascinating world, just recently bought from smw3d a cnc ox with a tiny g board, it took a little bit to assembly but now i was able to make it work, i configure the machine just how it was in the todd´s videos in youtube, the machine works fine, but i can´t make it cut i precise way, i try to cut a 100x100 mm square, but the machine cuts in 96x98 mm. if you are so kind to give me some guidance i would be very gratefull.

cheers

The video is a good starting reference. Every machine is a little different and will need some testing, tweaking, and adjusting to get it right for your set up. Also check that your belts are not loose and your pulley wheels are snug. Any play in the pulley wheels will throw off accuracy. Too much play in your belts can do the same thing. Check those first then if you get the same results start adjusting the numbers in TinyG until it’s spot on. Also remember there is a level of inaccuracy that is expected with a machine of this caliber. Flex in the extruded aluminum, stretch in the belts, how level the machine is, Ect… These are variables inherent in the design and ultimately effect accuracy. Albeit unless your machining critical fitting parts requiring high precision than an OX should be more than accurate enough for you.

those inaccuracies will only present themselves with a badly set up one, and can be avoided with the proper feeds and speeds. You should be able to reach 0.1% accuracy with just the gantry, easily. I tell it to move 595mm and it moves 595.2mm. Make sure you have $1 set to 255 so motors are always on.
