@Filament_Central do you really need to +1 your own posts? Related: http://www.stupidgifs.com/view/395/
Lol
@Thomas_Sanladerer It was more so an accident, but we apologize if it really did bothered you…
So there’s 4 colors for pla? Was viewing on my phone and sometimes this makes things wonky.
Also, what are the spool weights? I might have missed it on the product page. Thanks)!
@Brett_Giesler We have 15 colors listed & are currently adding a couple more! The spools are 2.2lbs or 1kg. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have anymore questions!
Hi Just tried looking into what shipping is to Australia and was told there is no shipping options available?
Cool website but you need to organize the site to filament diameter too as well as material, just my opinion.
I think that charging shipping per item instead of per shipment is just hiding part of the cost of the product.
I agree, Josiah. I was putting an order together when I noticed that, and decided to back it out until I had time to research other prices better.
@Tom_Sommerville This list is 6-months old, but might be helpful: http://hackaday.com/2013/08/14/3d-printering-where-can-i-get-the-cheapest-filament/
Started to put together an order for 4 spools. Came to $25.73 per spool with the free shipping (over $100) and FC45. Changed my mind when I noticed that the following pages were empty. Delivery Information, About Us, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions. Also the Brands page lists brands that have nothing to do with filament.
Good catch on the blank pages, Troy.
It may be the greatest filament known to man, but the company seems a little shaky. I’m sure they’ll get things squared away quickly. I just would like them to be a little more up front about their pricing.
Good Morning,
@Troy_Sorzano This started as a small project that spun off our main business http://www.TheCatalystAgency.com - So I appreciate your feedback, we honestly overlooked some of the site but we will for sure patch it up.
@Josiah_Luscher What we have been experiencing is that even at $4 priced per spool we are still coming out of pocket when pertaining to actual shipping cost. We will have to change it calculate upon customer input but for example - We just shipped 2 spools to an individual in the same city and it was 8.10 with FedEx smart post (cheapest alternative most of the time).
We are a new company and we do appreciate the feedback. We have had great reviews throughout all of our sales and we look forward in growing within the 3D printing community.
Always a pleasure,

Chris,
I can understand the balance between pricing and actual cost, especially in a market that’s starting to get saturated with suppliers. For me, the important thing as a consumer is to not get knee-deep into a transaction and then find that there was ‘small print’ that I didn’t know about at first. Thinking that the price was $22.50 per spool, then finding that it was actually $30.50 each, made me immediately stop and want to put off the purchase for future consideration. I’m not saying that I didn’t expect there to be shipping, just that when it’s a constant applied to each spool, that should be included in the up-front price, otherwise it feels a little like dealing with the stereotypical ‘used-car salesman’.
I hope FilamentCentral thrives in this new market!
–Tom
We greatly appreciate your feedback as it will guide us in the near future. After putting myself in your perspective I apologies… No one wants to deal with a “used car salesmen” and that was not our intent. We will be setting up calculated shipping through UPS so it will allow the customer to have full control when pertaining to their product shipment.
I look forward in speaking with you & again thank you!
