Frank, this is absolutely awesome! Using the Git sub-modules is a smart way to go. I’m guessing that the 1GB in size is mostly because you were grabbing sub-modules for major libraries like jquery, three.js, and bootstrap, but it could make more sense to just host the minified version in your own git.
Have you tried out https://electron.atom.io/
@jlauer Better? I replaced the big player (jquery, bootstrap & threejs) with his minified files. I checked also the electron plugin, but he runs in some Javascript problems. But to have an chilipeppr.exe file would be very nice …
