Pivot Point Alert. 3D printing looks like the laser printer industry did in the early 80’s. NASA just built and successfully tested a rocket engine with parts that came directly off a 3D printer.

In the late 80’s desktop publishing was a legitimate business, because computers and laser printers were rare. By the early 90’s it barely existed, because inkjet printers and word processors could do the same thing. I suspect the 3d market will follow the same trend, but faster.
