I like the concept, a little adjustment for assistive devices.

Does not look like it would handle compressive forces at all, it is pretty though.
After evaluation it may require additional material but these mesh material structures are stronger than they appear. Have you seen the printed car and truck tires? I particularly like the form, it would lend itself to a fiberglass or a silicone covering nicely.
