3D printed handle for the Galaxy S5 to take easy to hold horizontal shots. I went to a concert the other night (Jack White at the Fillmore) and was struggling trying to hold the phone in the horizontal position while trying to record video. Holding the phone above my head with just 2 fingers wasn’t as secure as I would have liked, so I 3D printed a solution.
The part (aka the Handle) is printed in ABS on my Up Plus 2. The phone clicks into it and has a handle for a comfortable hold above your head, with easy access to the buttons. The fit is exact enough that the phone clicks in and out but won’t fall out. Your hand is in a correct position for easy access to the record/capture buttons and allows you to hold it above your head securely with just one hand.

You can print it yourself or edit the SketchUp design file to fit the dimensions of your phone by downloading the file from my google drive.

@thomas_wagner I made a similar one with the S4 measurements for a friend, Ill send you the designs if you want. The design is made specially to not cover the camera phone lens, so it will slide over to the left as far as you need, but the “capture” buttons will still be on the right
you will need to print it with the longest flat side on the bottom, and the bottom tab pointing up so that the layers are running the right direction (so it is strongest), let me know if you are unsure abt what I mean
it is also best to print that way so there is no overhang

Another idea I had was a similar holder with a connector that would fit my gorillapod.
