I did a 3D scan of a buddy at work with the Structure Sensor and Skanect software. The hardware and software allow you to do a full body scan by walking around and scanning from different angles. Skanect allows you to output a STL file from the software. I printed the STL file with my UP Plus 2. It was really easy and took only about 2 minutes to setup and do the scan.

Structure Sensor

(I used the one with the Hacker USB cable and my Macbook Pro)

Skanect Software

(also works with the Kinect)
