Last night I decided to try and 3D print a Lithophane for the first time. It really turned out even better than I had expected. When I first saw it printing on the machine it didnt look like it was going to turn out very well (see first photo), but as soon as it was back-lit, it really looked nice. Kind of like an old-time photograph.

I didnt have luck with that one, so a made a web app for this as well, the I make candle shades, by wrapping them around cylinders. http://camerinhahn.com/image_to_surface.html
