what an interesting project. Could not find the plastic requirements - white only? ABS or PLA?
After singing in I’ve got a mail with the STL-file and good information about the printing process:
"The color of the stone: I’d like you to print the stone in White. It doesn’t really matter what kind of white you use as long as it’s white.
Material: We are fine with either PLA or ABS."
Just as I suspected! And me with my rolls of translucent multicolored PLA
Will have to order some white, then…
I just signed up for this, sounds like a great idea.
Looking at yours I think I’ve got to redo my bed… @enhydra how do you keep the glass on it? I don’t see any clips and it does not seem to be fastened by the corner nuts.
Have you had to stick a piece? I would like to build an acrylic Graber i3
@Igor_Larine I glued the glass onto the wooden plate. But that works only without a heated bed.
@LUCAS No, not by now.
Acrylic sounds nice, but expect cracks when you tighten the screws.
This is a great project. I have printed 3 stones, but now I’m out of white PLA. I heard yesterday that there are still lots of stones to print, so I’m sure anyone who can help will be greatly appreciated!
Looking forward to participating
Interesting project. I’ll see if I can sign up.
