Ha! Not a bad idea. If you are too drunk to open it with the key you are done for the night! 
Pretty cool, but with the thickness of where the lock is all you need to do is twist the lock and the entire thing will snap.
Clever way to call dibs on a brew stored in shared fridges. Thanks for posting!
